Hello, my name is Vladimir Rakic and i am a level designer from Belgrade, Serbia.
Ever since i was two and a half years old i have started playing video games and i became passionate about it. While i was a kid i always drew and played with legos and dreamed about imaginary worlds and since then i always had an urge to make them.
At first i started using Warcraft 3 editor and made some maps for Warcraft 3 back in the day. Then i started making GTA mods for GTA: Vice City, i even ran my own team for a few months.
I wanted to get more serious about game development and not just make mods for other peoples work but to make my own. So i started learning Unity 3D and made a few quick levels, but i almost immediatly passed to UDK (Unreal Development Kit), and started doing more serious work.
UDK became my main engine and with UDK knowledge i joined a few projects, such as Clockwork Revolution by Triumverity games, a steampunk 3d person shooter, but shortly after i passed on my next project called Time Lost. I've worked on Time Lost for well around a year and in that time i participated in the development of the game, by taking a part in game design meetings, designing my own level and leading concept artists and 3d modelers in the right direction for my level.
Since then i have worked on a project called Siege of Inaolia a roleplaying game, developed in UDK. I've only been there for a few months and had to leave do to lack of time, but while i was there i worked on the design aspects of the game and some techinical issues.
In the meantime i have been working on my own personal projects, such as Legends of Aradgonia, an adventure side scroller game in which i have made my own demo level, models, imported a custom character which i have rigged, skinned and animated. Also making all the cinematics and animations for the game.
I have also worked on a 2 week personal project called Raiders of the Lost Temple a point and click adventure game that i have programmed myself, making a custom camera, mouse movement and all sort of game mechanics such as moving doors with a physic gun, jumping on moving platforms, avoiding toxic water and retrieving lost items from the enemies.
At the moment i look to join a proffesional team and improve myself in any way possible.
